conexant audio HP DV – Microsoft Community

Turns out the High Definition Audio Controller device driver hdaudbus. I am ready to those this HP in the lagoon behind the house. VERY disappointed in this one! If it is not there, then there’s a problem with the HD audio controller itself and the Realtek audio device won’t show up in Device manager at all.


My pic is of my main laptop but just highlight the individual devices and in the right hand window will appear very detailed info on that highlighted device.

My cousin bought that HP laptop sometime in Device Manager shows no sound card installed. I have restored, several times. I know the sound card is good, since it worked before upgrading. On the speakers, or if you have a laptop there might be a sound adjustment nob somewhere. My OS is win7 64bit.
