The club comes fitted as standard with a highly commended Fujikura fit on shaft, with a choice of gold shaft or red shaft in regular, stiff or extra-stiff. Seems it is definitely not that popular of a three wood, but that only means the prices are gonna be really low soon so go out and try one! Trying to hit a draw resulted in a duck hook often enough to make it a very uncomfortable undertaking on the course.

For some reason I have zero confidence in a club unless it is square or open at address.

Sometimes I wonder if Do you think I would benefit from the HiBore? I wish Cleveland would make a 17 deg fairway wood in the XLS technology; it would be a winner. I just got an XLS with the gold shaft today. I first tried a Callaway X and ihbore face was too shallow for me.

I have the 13 deg with the red fit-on and it launches a low, penetrating ball that I can work just slightly left or right when I want – although point and shoot is the usual plan. My typical swing with the original HiBORE produced drives that flew wedge-shot high, very straight… and about as far as a 3-wood. I love this club. The shaft options available at the custom fit center are great too.
